A branch of a swazi tree along the driveway on the base.

I picked it this morning on my way back up to the team house from working out.

And as I picked it my hand slipped and a thorn cut into my thumb drawing blood.

I think that this is a picture of maybe a few different things.

But the first thing that came to mind is this season we have spent in Swaziland.

It will probably be something I will feel at the end of each mini season on the World Race…Myanmar, Thailand, and Nicaragua.

We get to come to these beautiful places, and gain beautiful deep relationships, growth, and experiences, but as the season I’m currently in is coming to an end it feels like you’re bleeding and that a thorn has cut through your heart and you need a bandaid to stop the blood from going everywhere because there’s so much pain in all of these goodbyes and ending of a chapter.

But it’s a blessing.

It’s a blessing to love these people and this place so deeply that it hurts.

Thank you Jesus for Swaziland and this season.
