Hello,
My name is Taylor Smith. I want to preface this “about me” page by letting you know that this life I am living is really not about me at all. It is all by the grace of God and for His glory. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to serve Him.

I grew up in a non denominational christian home. I have known Jesus is Lord since I was 7 years old but it never became real to me until I went on a missions trip to Nicaragua in 2016. Since then I have had some struggles on the way. My walk with the Lord has been far from perfect. It wasn’t until about a year and a half ago that I decided to start fully surrendering my actions to the Lord on a daily basis and even then I have been a work in progress. God’s grace has been so abundantly given to me through all the seasons he has allowed me to go through and I am beyond thankful for his goodness and faithfulness.
My favorite passage in the Bible is Romans 8. It talks about living according to the spirit and dying to the flesh. When walking in the spirit there is freedom because the Spirit gives life. We await eagerly for the glory of the Lord to be reveal to us. God is working for the greater good in all things to bring glory to His name. This passage brings great advice and hope to the Lord’s people.
I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska, but I currently live in Murrieta, California. I am a 1st year student at Calvary Chapel Bible College. I am majoring in Biblical Studies. The Lord called me to come here for this semester back in January. I have been beyond blessed by this experience and have grown abundantly in my faith already.
Meeting the Lord in the secret place is the most important part of my daily routine. He has recently been teaching to listen to his voice and trust him with more and more by surrender all my desires to Him. On September 25th, I was communicating with the Lord in prayer, and He called me to join the world race gap year in 2019.

I love the mountains, the oceans, and the forests. I’m an outdoors girl and I love spending time in awe of the Lord’s creation.

I am a huge advocate of adventure and travel, but most important to me, is that the love of Christ is known in every tribe and tongue. I value people and relationships. I long to show God’s love to every person I meet on this crazy path we call life. I have been on three mission trips previously. I traveled to Chicago in 2013, Nicaragua in 2016, and the Dominican Republic this past summer.

I have a huge heart for special needs people and serving them. The smiles on their faces when they have your undivided attention is priceless. I find so much joy in helping and loving on God’s children. As Matthew 25:40 says “‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” This verse teaches me to prayerfully ask that the Lord would give me His heart and His love for His people daily.
Ultimately my life is all for Him and His glory! Thank you for partnering me as I embark on this journey in which He has called me.
