So, I’ll be back in America in 7 days!
With that being said…
A very popular question EVERY racer gets is, “so what are you going to do after the race?”
As daunting of a question as that is…
here is my answer.
The World Race has not changed my life, but God has changed my life through The World Race.
I don’t believe in a program but I believe in God’s ability to use a program to reach individuals and the whole world.
Adventures in Missions is not end all be all, but I strongly agree with what they are doing and would love to pour back into what has had a huge impact on my life.
As I end my race, I have been given the opportunity to serve this organization and program by leaving for 9 more months as a Gap Year Squad Leader.
World Race Gap Year is for ages 18 to 20. It is exactly what it says it is; a gap year. Those who are finishing high school and looking to serve and dive deeper into their relationship with God before starting college or a career. They will go to 4 countries within 9 months, serving in various ways, building kingdom, spreading the word of God, going deeper in their relationship with God and learning healthy community, feedback and conflict/resolution.
This stage in their lives is a beautiful, vulnerable place to be and how incredible would it be if we could teach them and disciple them in the things we know now at 25, 45, 55 while they are only 18-20!!?
What if we could help them solidify their identity in Jesus before the world tells them who they are?
What if we could take their passions and hunger for acceptance, identity, authenticity, dreams and adventure and teach them how to use those within listening to the Holy Spirit and walking in obedience?
Well WE CAN!
And that’s exactly what I feel the Lord is calling me to do for the next year of my life.
I will be staying on the field with these young adults for all 9 months, discipling, empowering and helping solidify their identity in Christ, while walking beside them in missions and the pursuit of spreading Kingdom and the name of Jesus here on earth.
I would love for you to stay a part of this journey with me through prayer, keeping up with my blogs, and/or supporting me financially.
Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly supporter or giving a one time gift?
*to donate: on my Home page there is an amount and an orange donate button. Click that little orange button, fill in your personal information and the amount you’re wanting to donate, clarify if it’s a one-time or monthly gift and SUBMIT! Your donation will be tax-deductible and you will receive a confirmation email within minutes!*
If not, I would still love for you to partner with me in prayer! PRAYER IS SO POWERFUL! Man, watching God answer prayers out here on the field is so much fun. It brings hope, encouragement and salvation to all who are involved.
I know it doesnt make sense in the eyes of the world.
I’m not pursuing financial stability, retirement or health benefits.
I’m not settling down in one place in hopes of my husband finding me and us starting a family.
Nope. It doesn’t make sense.
I will be the first to admit I feel crazy. Absolutely insane.
But God reminded me that He created me crazy enough to say yes to the things most people would say no to. And not only would I say yes, but I would actually be excited to do it!
I know this is where God is calling me next and I know He will provide in miraculous ways.
He did once and I refuse to doubt that He can do it again!
God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
