Here in Cote D’Ivoire I have experienced the reality of the saying “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Everyone in the village works together

They are family

They look out for one another

And they do whatever it takes to care for everyone’s children

A frequent occurrence is wondering where a child comes from or mistakenly thinking he/she belongs to an individual just because they are carrying and feeding that child

In all reality we are not completely sure what children belong to what parents or where most of the children even live

But what I do know, is that when I have children, I want a village like this around me to help me raise them

Because it really does take a village to raise a child

Here are only a few out of the hundreds of beautiful children we have had the honor of meeting, holding, loving on and living with!

This, specifically, is my favorite friend, freezion! He has a smile that can light up any room and brighten any day. He loves to dance, smile and take selfies. He is a curious young man who loves to be near to all and carries the purest form of joy I have ever met. He is my friend and I love him a lot!

MERRY CHRISTMAS YALL!!
