“You over spiritualized everything”

The spiritual realm is MORE REAL than the physical realm we can see.
God has been teaching me how to take something here in the physical and connect it with what it could mean in the spiritual.
Sometimes it’s a clear connection from God revealed by the Holy Spirit and other times it might be me making something up.
But at least I am trying.
At least I am creating space for the Lord to work and reveal things if He so chooses.
At least I am awakening my awareness to the spiritual realm.
We are able to take ALMOST ANYTHING in the physical realm and redeem it in the light of Jesus.
Here are some examples within my own life.
We had bed bugs.
What are bed bugs in the spiritual realm?
No spiritual meaning that I found but God revealed how bed bugs act and live similarly to Satan.
Nocturnal, predictable and deceptive.
A couple of years ago, I was in Hawaii and a centipede crawled across the foot of my sisters bed (her peaceful place to meet with God).
What is a centipede in the spiritual realm?
Centipede=the spirit of jealously.
My best friend and I were struggling with jealously. Your typical, “oh my gosh you’re so beautiful, I wish I had __________ like you.” Thinking we were building each other up but in the process we were tearing ourselves down.
We were able to kill the centipede in the spiritual AND physical.
Lonely little kite in the sky.
What do you want to say to me through this kite, God?
You are this kite. You are flying high and enjoying the freedom that comes with living in my presence and will. You are soaring but you are connected to Me, the one who directs you and makes it possible for you to fly. But notice you’re alone. You’re going to be flying alone for a while. And that can be scary but you know the freedom of flying in my presence and it’s worth it. And you won’t be alone forever. Others will join you and you will all soar together.
Hip-Hop.
Originally part of a rebellious movement, progressing to be a beautiful art but then used for self seeking attention and promiscuity.
How God can I take this passion I have for hip-hop dancing and make it be worship to you?
Redeem the art.
Through a dance conference in Surabaya, Indonesia God began to teach me how to use my passions and talents to worship Him.
Taking scripture and linking it with hip-hop movements, therefore dancing prophetically.
Listening to worship songs, usually Lacrae and KB, letting go of all self consideration and dancing before the Lord.
Secular music.
God I love worship music, but I also love me a sappy Ben Rector love song…
Take the lyrics and imagine me singing them to you.
This only works with songs that are not actively pursuing sin and darkness. I don’t believe I can listen to a song that says, “**** **** I like her butt **** twerk **** alcohol.”
No. I’m not going to hear God‘s voice in that song unless I hear Him telling me, “stop putting crap in your head and heart.”
But I do believe that ALMOST ANYTHING can be redeemed, revealed in the spiritual realm and take us into deeper intimacy with God.
Just inviting God into absolutely everything, even small physical realm things.
He can use anything when we create space to listen and hangout with Him.
