I’ve always viewed Abilene, Texas as a place of transition.

A place to just pass through, get through or stop by.

When first moving to Abilene 3 months ago, that’s the exact mentality I had.

Just push through until the Lord tells you what’s next.

However, though I am in a season of waiting for the Lord to tell me what’s next, the Lord convicted me to stay present and be planted.

He said, “I don’t want you to view this season as something to get through because you have no idea how long this season will be and I have so much for you to learn here. I want you to view this season as training. A place to learn, grow and prepare for the next.”

And because the Lord is so sweet, He blessed me with two huge miracles while I plant, grow and wait.

Within the last month I have become an aunt and the assistant volleyball coach at Abilene Christian High School/ Middle School.

It has been such a blessing to be with my sister the last trimester of her pregnancy, through labor and now with Dawson Dean Wise in the world, as well as getting to be in an environment where I can love and disciple high school girls!

This season has not been easy, but I know the harvest will be worth every second of working and waiting.
