Coming into this month, God laid discipleship on my heart like an elephant!
And of course He provided so generously
Our ministry this month is at Santa Clara Catholic Private Elementary School
The very 1st day I was assigned to Miss Gomez who is a kindergarten teacher
I quickly realized that I was a high school teacher for a reason and really do not enjoy working with children this age….
BUT I LOVE MISS GOMEZ!
We became great friends immediately
It started when she asked me why I chose to do the World Race
I explained that I had a great job and life according to the world and there was no reason for me to desire more but I still felt stuck and knew there was more for me and more to this thing called faith and Christianity
She responded in a way that proved that God strategically placed me in her classroom
She told me that she asks that same question to every helper she is assigned and for the first time she actually believes me and believes that I actually love God just by the way I was talking with passion and excitement AND she is feeling the exact same way
She is a single mom, college student and full time teacher at the age of 22
She also feels stuck and that there is something more out there for her
From there she invited me into her life by sharing her story with me and what she has been going through lately, which ironically (I think not) lined up perfectly with my testimony!!

I got to encourage her with my testimony, rebuke the lies she’s been believing and speak truth into her life
She is an absolutely incredible human and friend
I now get the privilege to go into her classroom everyday and talk to her, laugh with her, sing and dance to her, make classroom decorations for her, plan to get our nails done together and allow her to do my make-up
It has only been 2 weeks and God has already been so sweet and kind to show me the seeds planted and how He is using me
I can’t wait to see what God has planned for these next 2 weeks
