Manual labor is so incredibly hard.

I really enjoy pulling weeds.

My favorite word in thai is “gope” meaning “frog”.

Rice is something that you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. And even sometimes for a midnight snack.

When someone tells you the food is “not spicy”, it is probably VERY spicy.

When crossing the street, look drivers in the eye and assert your dominance.

The lines in the road don’t matter, you just need to get to where you’re going.

You are always wet, either from sweat or from rain.

I want to get something out of every second of the day, and make the most of it.

Foreign coffee is just cheaper and better.

Kids will pick up on EVERY little habit that you do. All of the kids at my ministry have started tongue clicking at me.

Spontaneous plans are my favorite thing ever.

Smoothies are on almost every single menu.

My heavenly Father loves me more than I could even imagine.

He is stripping me of all my pride, and it’s going to be rough, but I’m going to look more like Him through it!

I see Jesus everywhere — in coffee shops, strangers, alleys.

At the end of every day, I am muddy, messy, and sweaty, but so joyful.

I see little pieces of home every day.

Living in a big city is so fun, but loud.

I’m a huge extrovert, and communal living is so. much. fun.

I’m not super emotional, & I tend to suppress pain, but God is showing me that sometimes you have to sit in that pain in order to grow.

I have a newfound appreciation for A/C.

Sneaking into hotel pools is a good way to spend an afternoon.

Mango sticky rice is cheap and delicious.

God is in all the little moments.

Just because I didn’t post it on social media, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

After despising it, I have a weird appreciation for country music, because it reminds me of home.

I feel most present with the Lord when I’m dancing.

God wants for us to pray bold prayers.

I am being humbled, because I’m in a foreign country where I don’t understand how everything works and most of the time I have to ask for help.

Toilet paper is not really a thing in most places.

Pineapple jam cookies are the most superior snack.

Thai baht is much simpler than US dollars.

Prayer is so incredibly powerful. More than I can understand.

God wants us to take our frustrations to Him.

He likes our questions about Him.

He is so playful.

When things go wrong, I can just laugh because I know that God’s got it.

Spontaneous dances parties in the kitchen are always an option.

Mama cooks the best food.

The church is not a building.

I am living for the audience of only One.

I often struggle to ask others for prayer.

God wants us to love one another without an agenda.

Community is so important.

Sometimes you have to sleep on the roof because it’s too hot to sleep inside.

God wants to grow me in meekness.

I love when Jesus speaks in parables.

Ministry is our life, not just confined to our 9–4 every day.

I have picked up very weird habits since living overseas.

Cold showers after a long day just really hit different.

I am so confident in my heavenly Father and I know my identity is in Him.

I could honestly go on an on on the ways God has been growing me and molding me. But for the sake of this blog post, I’ll wrap it up. Thank you so much for reading!   xx Tay morg
