We made it to Java! Thirty-three hours on a bus has finally led us here, our first time as a team within the 10/40. Life is different here, so many precautions have to be taken for the sake of our Call. Each post needs to be filtered, so bear with me at the vagueness of it all.
Though I can’t state my exact location, we are in the highest Muslim concentration within the 10/40 window. And I have never felt so cared for by a people group! Though different languages separate us, our actions are universal; a warm smile, a healing prayer, a shared meal showcase more of His love. Everyday, we have asked the Lord to lead us to the people who need Him most. So last Sunday, He lead us to a church that allowed us to connect with a variety of opportunities here in Java! We’ve been assisting in the bible classes at an international school, playing soccer with the local kids down the block, and sharing meals with the local believers that the Lord places in our path. The fellowship is rich, each conversation reminding me of why I’ve been placed in Indonesia this month.

Indonesia has proved to be exciting, nomadic, fatiguing, encouraging to both my team and me. Regardless of the predominant religion, the Lord is at work here within the people. This past week, my teammate Tyler made this killer video of a day we went to a rural village and hosted a soccer camp for the locals! I wish you could’ve been there with us!
