Belize was an interesting month as far as going to the bathroom went. I realized I actually had worms in my poop one day, and that lead us (a friend who is a nurse and I) to dissect and conclude that I had gotten a parasite (or multiple) from India. Yippee! We went to a lot of different places in Belize, and a lot of our bathrooms were outdoors.
The ocean! Actually, the Caribbean, but it’s sort of all the same. We spent a lot of time here on our off days, and our leadership team planned debrief here! We spent time swimming and snorkeling, so of course, it was our main source of relieving ourselves 😉
The boys and I were in charge of building an awning, and that meant going to the bathroom outside a lot when the teachers weren’t there to unlock the bathrooms for us! We had to maneuver between buildings to hide from passersby and each other…
