In case you didn’t know, all I can take on the trip is a hiking pack that carries about 45 pounds of stuff. So for 11 months I’ll be living out of that hiking pack! This means there are a lot of important necessities I will need when it comes to gear.
If you have been looking for a way to support my trip, then this is a great way to help me out! Below is a list of important things that I still need (along with some extras that would be nice). Please check it out and let me know if you would be able to provide anything on the list. I’ve already got some things (like my pack, which is an Osprey Aether 60L) but I’m still an amateur when it comes to this kind of gear and really going minimalist so any tips on packing would be appreciated as well!
Here is the list:
Necessities
2 Person tent – Freestanding, lightweight (under 4 lbs), durable (Big agnes, REI, Kelty)
Rain Jacket – lightweight, waterproof, Size M or L (looking for something nice that someone may want to get rid of, willing to pay as well)
Sleeping mat – Self inflating, durable, needs to pack small
Sleeping bag liner
Stuff sacks or packing cubes (if anyone has some they don’t use I’d gladly take them!)
Extras
Camping plates/bowls – small and collapses into itself for easy travel
Kindle – Unfortunately I can’t stuff a bunch of books to read. A kindle doesn’t take up much space and it’ll provide a lot of reading material!
Clothing – Hiking pants/shorts (the kind that zips off to become shorts)
Camera lens – I’ve got a Nikon D3400. My lenses are decent but I’d like to take one lens that is sharp and versatile.
Contact me if you can help out and I’d be willing to drive to pick anything up. Thanks for reading!
