Do you ever feel like trying to discern the Lord’s voice is hard?
I have a friend that heard his voice so clearly about when and where she needed to relocate her life. The next day, she heard something from a friend that made the Lord’s message sound illogical.
What would you do in that situation?
I would probably question and mull over all the options, trying to figure out what is really from the Lord.
She wasn’t phased and is now moving across the country with no certainty of anything, just like the Lord asked of her. I’m just trying to figure out what dates I can travel to Georgia, Alabama and Texas in August.
They’re different weights of importance/urgency but they’re still opportunities that the Lord is using to speak to us and guide us.
Either way, whether small or big, the Lord cares and wants to be part of the journey with us, but what do we do when the path is foggy and the Leader is asking us to trust him through the fog?
“Did I hear him correctly?”
“Is he still there?”
“What if ____?”
All questions I’ve asked in the past 24 hours.
But no shame. If the Lord is here for the journey, he’s here for this part of the journey too.
So I’m encouraging myself (and anyone else who needs it):
One step at a time. One tip toe at a time. One hug at a time. One jump at a time. You just gotta breathe and take a step. You gotta risk it for the biscuit.
It’s easier to turn a car that’s already moving than to turn a car that’s idle. Maybe we can move and course correct as we go.
