Training camp::::: the fastest but slowest 10 days of my entire life! Going into training camp I didn’t know really what to expect…But after the first day I knew it was going to be a challenging but fun experience to go through. As I got to the airport I was super nervous to meet my squad (which consists of 47 people) but as soon as we were all looking for each other we all grew together. God really did bless me with the best squad out there that I could have (Q squad). We all sat around at the airport for hours waiting to get picked up but we played games together, bonded, and just grew closer to each other. Training camp was one of the most hard things in my life because you are going nonstop and you get emotionally wrecked and rebuilt a ton of times. You eat the weirdest things like; crickets, dug eggs, etc… You slept in tents every night and had to pack up your backpack every day. You could hear the bugs super loud at night and you would have to search your tent each night to get the hugggeeeee spiders off. We had to take bucket showers and the line for the girls was always 1+ hours, the weather changes all the time and you would go through a shirt once a day drenched in sweat, you would starve some days because you didn’t like the food (bring LOTS of SNACKS), and the hike was miserable (make sure to practice before). Needless to say training camp was the best part in my life growing spiritually. I never knew how much you could grow emotionally and spiritually in 10 days. I was fearful of leaving my family for 9 months, I was fearful of meeting my team, and I was scared of leaving my friends. After several prayers and tears I was able to give it all to God to guide me through and surrender it all. I can not wait to see what God has in store for me in the next 9 months. I am counting down the days to launch now and can’t wait to see my team again because I already miss them. GOD IS GOOD!! Here are pictures of my squad that consists of 47 people that are striving to teach others about GOD and here is a picture of 8 beautiful girls that I will be living with and traveling with for the next 9 months.
