Debrief week was what I needed. We completed month one!! Wohoo! Wow it was a long and hard one but it was well worth it. We were all figuring each other and adjusting to living with a community of 53 people. It was the hardest but best time of my month one experience.
Debrief is a week to recharge yourself and to process everything that happened during month one. We had worship and session each night so that we could really focus on what God was teaching us. The thing that our hostel had was a roof top where we could see over a lot of the town and look out at the ocean and that was what made me focus on his beauty. I saw his beauty through the ocean and through the sand. How each sand grain is created differently and how we are just like that and that he made each of us differently. This week I really tried to focus on him and understand him more. I relaxed and rested up so that I could recharge for the last two months in Costa Rica. While I was resting up I was finding myself more and more. I was finding answers to things that I had questions about that were never answered. God was teaching me to have patience and just sit back and listen to his voice. Listening to his voice is something I struggle with because sometimes I don’t know if it is always his voice or if it is my voice. I was seeing things that I never realized I could see. It was awesome just to listen to what God was saying to me in my life.
We went to a beach resort in Jaco and it was beautiful. We were there for 6 days and there was so much to do. There was; surfing, shopping through the town, eating out at so many different restaurants, swimming, etc. I had the opportunity to take surfing lessons through our hostel and it was the best time. The food there was awesome!!
With that being said I am well rested and ready to finish the next two months in Costa Rica!!
