The path of least resistance

The definition of resistance is: the act or power of resisting, opposing, or withstanding; the opposition offered by one thing, force, etc., to another.

Resistance can look different for all of us, depending what season we are in, what we are facing, choices to make, etc.

Resistance can look like forgiving someone that has hurt you, trusting when it’s hard to trust, a pace where your morals + values need to stand tall, or facing fears. Going on despite what may scare you.

Taking the path of least resistance is E A S Y.

It is comfortable! Sounds nice right?

But taking the path of least resistance is leaving us living a life less than what we are capable of. Less than what God has for us.

It’d be easy to stay in America, in my comfortable community, comfortable job.

Although the World Race is a dream + passion of mine- I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t scare me.

It does! It does scare me! But even more, it excites me! If your dreams don’t scare you, than you are dreaming too small!

And that’s okay! Move on, push through, DO IT even if it’s scary. Because that is when God can do the impossible! The unthinkable!

Even though it’s scary- I know there are amazing things that God has through the World Race. I will see the world differently, discover new things, see God move in incredible ways that I’ve never seen before, etc and that is what makes me push through!

I know I’ll see difficult things and it’ll be hard. And that can be scary. But if you look at pain in the right way, it has the power to grow you.

You’re selling yourself short when you take the path of lease resistance. You will miss out on the beautiful, incredible things in life that are on the other side of the resistance.

Let God be your strength and you’ll see wonders. Experience the incredible.

Thanks for reading!

That’s it for now!

Much Love, T.
