Without fail, almost every time someone asks me how much money I have to raise for the World Race, I get the same reactions. Eyes get big, mouth opens, kind of like the look of shock. Followed up with “Wow, that is a lot of money”.

No kidding, it sure is! And with that, I can find myself sinking in anxious feelings, pressure on and overwhelmed with the amount of money I need to raise. I italicized “I” because if I change my perspective and realize it’s not me who’s raising the money, it’s God’s provision, the pressure is off.

And now I see people that see raising $18,100 as near to impossible, I see as a challenge.

A challenge. Knowing that my God is bigger than $18,100. A God who created more than 80 billion galaxies in the universe. Keeps the earth at the perfect distance from the sun so that life can survive and thrive.

I’ve been reading “Circle Maker” by Mark Battterson and that is what has helped me with seeing $18,100 as a simple easy, God snapping his fingers and it’s done, kind of challenge.

In the book he talks about how astrophysicists say the outer edge of the universe is 15.5 billion light-years away. He goes on to say that “God is 15.5 billion light-years bigger than your dream. God is able to do 15.5 billion light-years beyond what you can ask or imagine.”

And to us this is incomprehensible, it doesn’t seem possible in our realm of possibility because it’s not in our reality. But we have to remember that God is bigger than that so of course His ways are going to perplex us!

And I love it because we as humans are limited, but God is not.

And it’s about having the right perspective and faith that if God is as big as the galaxy proves He is, then $18,100 is a piece of cake for Him. (I bet God eat’s cake).

Trusting that we don’t have to convince or beg people to donate and support our cause, God will move on our behalf and use others. Because life isn’t meant to be lived and experienced alone. He wants to bring the body of Christ together, so we all can be a part of the amazing things He is doing here on earth. And we all have different parts, some are to actually go, some to support the cause, some to pray and intercede and encourage, etc.

We work together!

Faith and Perspective. Game changer.

So I ask you, how is God wanting you to be a part of changing the World?

That’s all for now! Thanks for reading!

Much Love, T.
