Hello there! This is a really important blog for many reasons! We have a chance to truly make a difference & meet an urgent need.
So as I explained before the ministry we are working with this month (Living & working at a safe home for children who have been abandoned, as risk for violence, displaced children, orphaned children, etc). Here is a video that explains all about the ministry and it actually shows where we are staying and some of the kids we are working with!
Here it is:
Hopefully you watched it 🙂 And here is where YOU come in! We have so many ways to reach out to people in America and all around the world. With the tools we have of social media- something so simple can make a huge difference to a cause. In September some of the kids here are going on a trip to AMERICA!!! The reason?! To get the word out about who they are and to make this organization known so it can get help! It needs it! They asked us to reach out to our churches to see if they can host them. It will be about a 6 week trip and they are wanting to go to different places each week! Their vision is to move the safe home out to more land so there is more space for the kids! A farm type land so they can grow and produce crops so they can be self-sustaining! So if you are interested in helping out, talking to your church to see if they will let the come, or any other way your heart is being tugged towards this, here is who you can talk to:

Something else incredible about this ministry is that they go and do brigades in Wayuu. A desert village in Colombia that is in need! Every 4 years many children & people are dying of starvation and other health reasons. They come out and do Brigades and offer medical help, food, clothing, etc. (As mentioned in the video)
Their vision & specific objectives:
1. Build a community dining room that contributes to the reduction of hunger & malnutrition in the children of the Rancheria Sapalou.
2. Manage a project to extract drinking water that works with alternative energy,
3. Carry out two annual health brigades in the Wayuu communities of the department of La Guajira.
4. Plant the church of God in the Wayuu community.
5. To contribute to better the health and quality of life of the Wuyuu Children.
VISION:
At the end of this project of humanitarian intervention, social development, and with an evangelistic approach in the Sapalou rancheria in 2021; the word of God shall have been sown so that the people affected may recognize and glorify the love and character of God; leaving capable leaders empowered to continue the mission.
This truly is an amazing organization that we’ve gotten to partner with this month. I had a meeting with Selia and she showed me two photos of two of the girls currently at the orphanage who was rescued from Wuyuu. A little girl who lost her eye because of the dirt and wind- her eye got infected. This organization took in this girl and she is now in the process of getting her a prosthetic eye and remove the infection.
Another child rescued was born with a defect that caused her feet to be completely sideways, so she was walking on top of the side of her feet- she was taken in here and they were able to give her surgery to correct her feet. How awesome is that?!
So yeah!! I challenge you to pray & ask God how you can help this organization. Whether it’s through prayers, contacting your church, etc.
THANK YOU!
