Dear Family and Friends,
I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. I hope God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is mine. My time at Liberty University is coming to a close and I am excitedly anticipating Gods next step for my life. I will be graduating in December and spending the next 6 months preparing for this amazing journey God has in store for me.
Starting in July of 2014, I’ll be working with an organization called Adventures in Missions in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month mission’s trip through 11 different countries. My team and I will serve those in need by partnering with local churches and ministries to work with orphanages, plant churches, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, teaching English and most importantly bringing the Gospel of Jesus to the people around the world. I and my team will be traveling to Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia, and China.
God has laid it on my heart to go on this trip and to serve Him around the world. I know this cannot happen successfully without prayer. It is for this purpose that I write to you. I ask that you consider praying for my team and me as we minister to the world. I am hoping to form a group of prayer warriors that are constantly lifting us up in prayer before, during and after the trip. Please pray that Christ goes before me and my team in every step of our ministry and that we can be acceptable vessels for Him to use as we go to reach His people.
The World Race has provided me with a blog, which I would love for you to follow me on! Before I leave, through the 11 months, and after my trip, I will be posting pictures, journal entries and prayer requests. As I get ready to leave in the coming months, I will also be posting my updated trip plans and be keeping a record of all of the financial support raised for my trip. The blog will be a great resource for us to stay connected as this will be my way of communicating throughout the trip. You can visit and join my blog at Taylorscott.theworldrace.org.
As part of my trip I am asked to raise $16,225. I know this seems like an overwhelming figure but, I know The Lord will provide all that is needed. I would ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting me financially. This can be done with a one time or a monthly donation.
To make a tax deductible donation please click on “Support Me” on my blog or, you can fill out the enclosed card and send it in. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions. You may write “appealed by” and my name in the memo section of the check if you wish. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all necessary information that is needed for me to receive your donation. In turn, they will send you a receipt. All gifts are tax-deductible. I have to have half of my support raised before I leave in July and the rest raised by month six. You can best support me by making donations as soon as possible as I my goal is to raise all my funds before I leave in July.
There are other ways you can help as well. In addition to the funds for the trip itself, I will also need support in gathering the necessary equipment I’ll need to be living and traveling abroad for a year (ei: internal frame backpack, tent, sleeping bag, camping supplies etc.) as well as some medical cost ( vaccinations, and medication) before I launch in July.
