Haiti was so amazing!
We got to go out into several of the villages to just love on people and pray for them.
A few of the days we got to play soccer with a bunch of the kids which was a blast!
One of the days we had a kids camp and had the opportunity to love on the village kids. I got to hang out with a little girl the whole time and she just snuggled with me while I held her on my hip. It was so beautiful! She was precious and my heart was so full! I loved seeing all the kids and loving on them. But it’s also the hardest thing ever. Going from village to village meeting kids and holding toddlers with no pants then saying goodbye to never see them again. My heart breaks each time I fall in love with a child then have to say goodbye. I know this will continue to happen this year and it won’t get any easier. But every smile, every hug and hand holding, has given me such love for each of those precious kids and even though I’m here to love on them and be an example of Christ, I’m the one who’s being changed. These beautiful children who smile no matter how little they have, are the reason I’m not going to end the race as the same person who started.
Even though goodbyes suck, I’m forever blessed to hold their hands and look into their eyes if only for a moment.
