Believing and trusting in what the Lord has planned for your life can be difficult at times. Whenever you come around to a time like that it’s important to remember if you show up, God will show up for you. As i was scrolling through my bible app I was praying something would pop out at me, something I needed to read. Funny enough the David and Goliath story appeared before me as I was scrolling through. As a kid I always thought that David was so cool so I thought I’d read it. Now as an adult reading this story I thought about how much trust David had to have in the Lord to go out and say that he would fight against Goliath. For David fighting giants was not an every day type of thing. In that moment that the David went out to fight Goliath he put his life in the Lord’s hands in that moment he showed up for God and God showed up for him. All he had to kill Goliath was a rock and a sling, so no one thought he could do it. David knew the Lord would provide for him. David swung his rock and killed Goliath. (1 Samuel 17). To me this story says that no matter what is going on in your life, God is going to provide for you as long as you put your trust in him.
Everyday life can be applied to this story of trust. Even if it’s getting an A on your final and you didn’t study and you think oh hey God’s got it I don’t need to pay attention or study. No that’s not how it works, if you study hard and come prepared to your final then God will show up for you too. If you see someone around you struggling with something and you go and help them you can guarantee that when you are feeling down and you need a pick me up that God is going to send someone for you. You have to be open to the gifts of life that a god is giving you everyday. Sit back close your eyes and think of all the blessings God has given you in your life time. When you are done think about all the times when you put your full trust in God, think of all the blessings he has given you. If you can’t think of any, you are thinking too hard.
While on the race you have to put complete trust in the Lord that he will provide for you everyday and that he will bring you to the people that need to hear his word the most that day. God is going to take care of us no matter what country were in, what time of day, or what situation we are in. Trust in him and you will have no more worries. It’s much easier said than done, but slowly you can let go and let God.
