Today is the day we leave for the world race and as we were enjoying our last day out in the USA, I encountered some random God Moments along the way.

1st: we are in waffle house and the server that another team on my squad has is just too sweet and so they started talking and I jumped in like I always do and we ended up praying for her and she was so grateful. She hugged us all before we left and I even got a picture. She was just the sweetest thing. She had just moved from New York and she was working to support her two children. Granted the waffle house isn’t the ideal job that every working adult would want she was grateful for this place and the job that she had.

2. Isabella who is also in the WAFFLE HOUSE wonderful things happen at the waffle house ladies and gents. So anyways she pulls aside one of the guys from another squad and they start talking and eventually I joined in of course because I’m nosy… and we ended up sitting and talked with her for a while about our race and how her faith journey has been over the past couple years and she was such a woman of wisdom and a fruitful spirit. It was so amazing to talk with her. Side note she works for the airlines and had woken up for sleeping and wanted a waffle this was at around 1030?? PM I might add. She had so much love for the Lord and I am so glad she took time to talk with us and share the wisdom she had. ?

3. Now I never do this but my friend Courtney and I were walking into the gas station by the hotel and this man walks in saying how he doesn’t have any money to support himself or buy food for himself. So Courtney buys him some food and we are walking away and she said we should go pray for him. (Side note… we are in a sketchy part of Atlanta so it isn’t the safest.) So we go back and sit down with this man and he starts telling us all these things about his niece and how he struggles with alcoholism and we sat and listened and tried over and over again to encourage this man Robert to trust in the Lord and to create a relationship with him because he was a believer. Unfortunately he didn’t understand what that meant to have a relationship with the Lord so we did our best. In the end we prayed and had to get back to the hotel because it was becoming unsafe for us to be out without a guy with us.

The moral of these 3 examples of how God showed up in just a short hour and a half are that you can have God Moments anywhere with anyone you just have to keep your eyes and your heart open.. whether you are a world racer or not. I encourage you to reach out to some this week and ask them if you can pray for them. Step out of your comfort zone and ask someone you don’t know if you can pray with them… as long as you are in a safe environment ??
