Five years ago when I was doing my internship, a girl named Hannah wrote these lyrics to this song and hung them above my bed. She told me the Lord was singing me this song every night before I go to bed and every morning when I wake up. In that moment five years ago I needed that so badly, I was new to this whole Jesus thing and I had went to find more about him and ended up in Oklahoma doing and internship at a church.
Fast forward to now… In Nepal with 2 of my teammates, trying to figure out what to eat for dinner. Which can be hard with 3 women to all agree on something while living on a budget. My teammate Ali said lets go wherever the lord leads us.
We choose this place with live music, we go in an sit down. Once we sat down I just felt off; I had had a long day and need to process through everything that had happened. But wrong place; wrong time kind of deal. I got up and went to the bathroom to clear my mind, when I walked back to my table I hear

The song Yellow was being played, my mind instantly went back to that moment when I was an intern. How I looked at those lyrics everyday and imagined the lord singing that to me. My eyes filled with tears, that moment almost too overwhelming for me. My teammates had no idea what was going on with me, they probably thought I was crazy in that moment. I told them about how I imagined the lord singing that song to me; tears also filled their eyes because they witnessed how much the lord wanted me know how he felt about me.
The lord spoke so clearly to me with a song by Coldplay, 5 years ago and here in Nepal in a little restaurant. It’s crazy how something so small can speak so loud. I’m so thankful for that moment and I will probably treasure it for the rest of my life.
Try and find those little things in life that the lord is showing you how much he loves you.
