Recently, I’ve been told that my World Race looked like a vacation.

And yes, I had the chance to do some amazing, adventerous, and one of a kind experiences around the world. I was able to see a couple wonders of the world and check off a few things on my tourist to-do list.

These experiences were absolutely incredible, but that wasn’t even close to a majority of how I spent my time these past 11 months.
It may have been what you have seen the most of on my social media accounts.

The reason you will hear more about and see more pictures of these types of things is because they are easier to explain and prettier to place in front of you.

There are so many reasons why I didn’t take pictures of the conversations and interactions that took place between me and the homeless woman, the beggar or the countless other people I’ve encountered. It’s just not genuine and I like to focus on the people in front of me, not the story that I’m going to get from the conversation.

I also didn’t take pictures of the dirty toilets, lice filled heads, roach filled houses or any of the other hard and sometimes very gross conditions that I encountered over the past 11 months. Most months my living conditions were not ideal and definitely not up to the standards of most people reading this blog.

I didn’t show these things because social media is a place where people share highlights of their lives, not a place where you share everything.

Please read my blogs for a better understanding of the ministries I was a part of each month.

And when you have a conversation with me you can hear even more stories and you’ll learn more about the hard things I experienced on the race (if you want to).

I’d also love to share travel tips with you if you plan on visiting one of the countries I’ve been to.

Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to see y’all in 3 days!
