I have recently done a clean sweep on music playlist.  I was given a plethora of new Christian music songs by some incredible friends (shoutout to Hannah, Kieffer & Seth- – woot, woot!) and I wanted to share with you a song written by a Christian "rap" artist named KB.  This is a song from his new album, Weight & Glory.

Now, I'll mention that I have always liked rap music for its upbeat nature because it gets me in the mood to bust a move, but I'm not kidding when I say this guy is legit.  And when I say legit, I mean he is on fire for God.  He's on fire for sharing the Gospel in such a way that will draw in those children, teens, young adults and adults still listening to the "so-called" trash that tons of "so-called" artists are selling millions of copies of so they can brainwash Satan into our minds.  Okay, okay. Enough preachin'…

This particular verse is from the lyrics of "Heart Song".

What if God's plan for pain isn't for you to skip it

We need the nightmare to appreciate not being in it

Deep in the pain deep in the game upon this ending

Plus God will take our place so serious he joined us in it

Jesus I feel like none other when He was on the cross

Why do the good die? That only happened once

But the good rise, but not for the good guys

It gives new hearts and eternal life to the ones who should die

KB is writing this song for two of his friends.  One is a girl, Jasmine Le'Shea, who at 14 years old found out she needed a heart translpant.  This is her story.

"During Jasmine's sophomore year of high school, physicians discovered that she had congestive heart failure.  The function of her heart declined rapidly such that in February 2001 she was added to a heart translplant wait list.  Praise the Lord by this time Christ had already entered her spiritual heart.

This gave her joy as she faced the possibility of physical death, she knew that physical death for the believer means eternal life with Christ.  On February 24, 2001, one week after being added to the wait list, the Lord graced Jasmine physically with a new heart.  Hospital visits and heart health complications were somewhat frequent in earlier years after her transplant, but the Lord allowed her to regain strength."

I can almost guarantee you that every Christ follower's testimony begins with the suffering they endured before coming to know Jesus as their Savior.  Is it not sad how we have to be stripped of happiness before coming to the realization that we cannot "do life" on our own?  We physically cannot burden the weight of the whole world in our own hands.  We cannot carry our sin, our sorrow, our stress, our life on our own shoulders.  That is God's job.  He wants us to come to Him with our problems.

Look, I don't have all the answers.

But I know someone who does.

You can run to your Creator when you need someone to cry out to.

Jesus died for us.

The least we can do is live to honor Him.
