Hello Family & Friends!
I am so Thrilled to say I have met my first financial deadline! Here is my account balance: $3,644.50. I needed to have $3500.00 by October 1st for my first deadline!
Here is a financial breakdown of my mission’s trip; I have two financial deadlines here in the U.S. and two Overseas.
The total cost of my trip is $15,500. My training camp starts on October 13th-20th of 2012 and I will be launching my trip on January 1st, 2013. So here are the deadlines I will need to meet:
· $3,500 by October 1st, 2012-two weeks prior to training camp
· $6,500 accumulated by December 15th, 2012-two weeks prior to launch date
· 11,000 accumulated in My Support Account by the 1st of the third month while in missions field
· 15,500 accumulated in My Support Account by the 1st of the Sixth month while in missions field
So here are my calculations. This just being an estimation, if I get 100 of my friends, and family members to support me for $20/11 months, I will be at $22,000, that’s $6500.00 over my Total! Now as awesome as that sounds, I know for a fact that even though I know 100 people, I do not know 100 people willing to support me $20 for 11 months. So I have to try a different appRoach…
I have had a few fundraisers and just had a major fundraiser a couple weeks ago and raised $1500.00. I am so blessed to have such a strong sUpport system and people bringing awareness to my mission's trip. I want to thank you all so much!
I want to say that God has been changing and challenging me by preparing me for this mission’s trip like no other! He has broken me and released me of all my stress and worry for in psalms 27:1 it says,
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?”
After reading this I began to understand that G0d inevitably holds our future in his hands. He’s the reason why I’m here and raising money for this mission’s trip. This is what His will is for my life; this is what he has planned. So whY should I question him or be afraid? In Acts 1:8 it says,
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
So I know that God has called me to be a missionary if only for one year traveling to 11 different countries in 11 months to share Gods unconditional love with adults and children who have never known or have seen what Love in itself looks like. I have this passion on my heart and this motivation in my mind, and determination in my gut, which God has given me to pursue and chase after the calling He has placed upon me.
In my perspective you are financing God’s kingdom, by supporting me. UltimatEly all the money I make is going toward leading others to the kingdom of God!
I am going, God is sending me, but I need you to help God Send me. I know God will make a way for me to go whether you financially help me or not, because he has opened so many doors already, and has planned this for my Life already. I am here humbly asking you as you read this to pray and ask God what it is he would want you to do.
With no pressure on my side at all…I completely understand everyone’s financial situation right now in this time. But if you could even give $5 a month to mission, that would go a long way and help me tremendouSly!
Also if you think about it you spend that much, if not more at Starbucks, on snacks at the movies, at the grocery store, and at the mall. If you can sacrifice just $5-$20/ month to my racE, your money would go so much further for the kingdom of God! And not only bless me and God, but the women, children and men all over the world whose lives I come in contact with and whose lives God will touch through me.
