As most of you know, I’m a total clean/germ freak…In fact
many of my friends continually make fun of me for it! J So as God would have it, I am living in
third world countries continually getting dirty, playing with kids who have
lice and scabies, and eating food I would rather not know how it was
prepared! Gotta love it!

But thankfully the good Lord blessed me (and Rocio) with Tea
Tree oil. I tell you, it is truly
God’s gift to us this year…lol.
Rocio and I joke about coming home and being spokeswomen for it, we use
it for EVERYTHING!!!! Applied to
our hair, it keeps lice away.
Dropped on some blemishes, yep dried up the next morning. Poured on an infected cut, drastically
heals and kills the infection.
Dabbed on anything we’re not sure of, mentally cures us! Needless to say, Rocio and I (or as our
coaches have named us, The Barbie’s) use it like a American Express…WE DON’T LEAVE HOME
WITHOUT IT!
You ask, significance please? Well, I believe Jesus needs to be our Tea Tree oil, WE
SHOULD NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT HIM!
Just as we daily use Tea Tree oil as our shield to lice, infection, etc,
even more must we use God as our shield to all. You see, we can use Tea Tree oil until we turn blue in the
face, but in the end it’s God and Him alone who will protect us. There is something bigger than a dab of
Tea Tree oil preventing our flesh from infection, there is a spiritual battle
going on! “For our struggle is not
against flesh and blood, but against the…spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms.” (Eph 6:12)
I’m truly an expert by now on trying to live without putting
God on daily, but then again, aren’t we all? So many times I have tried to fight this battle (this life)
on my own…BUT I CAN’T DO IT ANYMORE…I’m spent! “Therefore put on the full armor of God…” (Eph 6:13-18) When I first read this and heard those
wiser than I fill me with these words, I said OK and
w
went about my
business. Now I truly see what
life is like going about my day God’s way. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have it all down and my days are
far from perfect, but I desire and seek God for my every moment now, I wake up
and not only say, “God come into my day” but I speak it with a burning passion
from my heart.
That is all God wants, the rest is His job. He wants us to want Him! He is a gentleman, He doesn’t need us
to need Him, He wants to be invited into our house (heart) to wow you! (This is
not a means to salvation for those of you who may take it that way) I have had God in my life
for about three years now, but it has not been until now that I have seen Him
working in ways that truly wow me.
God, I want more of you, let me love you more. I want more of you and less of me! That statement is no longer just a “Christianese” phrase I
have learned, it’s a piece of my heart I want to exponentially grow.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in
him and I am helped.” Psalm 28:7
