I believe that there is an amazing analogy between a collision and living a life for Jesus Christ!

First, I believe that we must define the topics of conversation before we dive into them.  What one person defines something as does not necessarily mean another defines it the same way.  Websters dictionary defines the word collision as the act or process of colliding; crash or conflict.  So how do I see anything beautiful in that?  Let me explain….
Just short of four years ago I lived my life with a worldly view, a view that was not Christ centered.  I thought it was perfectly fine… my life was about me and I was going to be successful, get a great job, move in with my boyfriend, eventually get married and live a very comfortable life.  Well, God had different plans.  He had plans of a “beautiful collision.”  You see, when I was saved and came to know my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, my life seemed to be a giant conflict.  His Spirit joined with mine and began giving my heart His desires, but in addition to that my flesh was tempted to do the opposite.  I so badly wanted to keep doing what I had been doing, but by the grace of God I had a deeper desire to follow Christ.  The word says, “Walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” ( Gal 5:16)   So as I continued to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit ( and of course falling lots) I began to know God in a more intimate way, the way we were created to know Him.
I believe this all was truly a BEAUTIFUL COLLISION! I believe it was a collision of my old life with my new life in Christ.  Without all the conflict of my flesh and the Spirit, the colliding with non-believers and believers,  the breaking of my heart  in many ways, and just as important, the reconstruction of my heart and soul by Christ alone, I would not know Christ as I do today. Granted, I still have a long way to go to grow deeper with my Father, but that will be a life long process.
I believe God designed that BEAUTIFUL COLLISION in such a way that I could see His full glory.  Living a life for Christ is not by any means easy and sometimes is not fun.  It takes a lot out of you, you risk being mocked and rejected and you are constantly COLLIDING with the ruler of the world.  But ABOVE all of this, it is so BEAUTIFUL!  I wake up daily and would not change my life for anything.  The analogy of my life (a life focused on Jesus) colliding with the way of the world is beautiful because I get to be a part of the reconstruction by Christ Himself.
Over the next year the Lord will use me to share with the world what a beautiful collision really is…To show the world that when you begin to know our Creator it is an intense collision of the old self dying and the new self being born!  It is a constant collision between you and the RAPS (ruler, authorities, powers, spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places), but the beauty in all of this is God has our back through it all.  I praise God for this BEAUTIFUL COLLISION and will forever fight to live a Christ centered life.
