India is beautiful. There is so much natural beauty, but immense beauty in the culture, buildings, art, and people. It is truly breathtaking.
It’s also heartbreaking. There is trash and dirt everywhere. So many families live under the poverty line, so many children don’t have clothes, food, or thoughts of a better life. India contains about 18% of the world’s population, yet 98% of India is considered unreached with the gospel. The church here is steadily growing, but there is still so much work to do. I am so grateful God has put us here to help spread the love, joy, and hope that comes from the Lord.
The girls my team is working with this month are adorable and so in need of love. They are always fighting to get closest to us, hold our hands, and talk to us. I have never seen a child so grateful for a single egg and small glass of milk. Even though life for them is so hard, these girls also carry so much joy, it is really inspiring.
Please keep my squad in your prayers as we minister to the people, in addition to the people being open to hearing about God’s love. Adjusting to the new cultural rules and customs has been hard on everyone, but we are all doing the best we can. I am also still fundraising to reach my final goal, please consider supporting me any way you can! I will have access to internet on and off the next few weeks, but feel free to email me at [email protected] or Facebook message to keep in touch, I love to hear stories from back home!
Thank you for your prayers and support, it means so much and it is so wonderful to see the work the Lord is doing.
