It is now February 6th. It is just a week over our squad’s seven month anniversary.   We have become nothing less than a family. We laugh hard (thanks to our favorite game “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”), cry often (especially if you are on team 5-Alive), and know matter what we do or where we turn, there is always one of us right there.

I have had some time to reflect on the past seven months and noticed how God doesn’t waste time and He uses every detail.   He knows right when I need to hear a word or have a break through. He teaches me, convicts me, and loves me with every step. He supplies an ear when I need to cry out and shows His witty side just to make me laugh. He also brings me to a place of rest when it is so desperately needed. So to update…….

Mozambique was incredible.   It just needs to be filled with the hands of Christ and the hearts of servants. There are 24 orphans that are ready for the body of Christ to help supply their needs. Water is their main priority. A 6 kilometer round trip walk 2 to 3 times a day is almost impossible for some. (video to come.)

I had a quick transition from Mozambique, to a safari (I finally saw a raffee) and then straight to Swaziland where my squad teamed up with the AIM Vision Trip from the states. Nsoko, Swaziland is very much alive with the joy of Lord. They are hungry but cling to the bread of life. There are hundreds of orphans that have smiles to melt your heart. The Go Go’s (Swazi grandmas) still know how to laugh deep and pray loud to the one who provides. There hope in life sets an example for Christians. They know how to have the joy of the Lord during the starvation, bodies affected by AIDS and 10 other grandchildren to feed.

I am currently in Nelspruit, South Africa. I am using this next week to, as God is calling, “Return to me.” This is a time that I am going to spend in the presence of the LORD just sitting and being still. So if you know me, prayer is greatly needed. I’m not always the best at being still for long periods of time, but I know that it is vital for our relationship to grow more intimately. He is pursuing me so I must answer and return. I am finding how to fall in love with my first love-Christ. (more to come)

I have been away from the computer since London but will have more updates this week. I am praying that February will bring much joy in your hearts and that you find a time to rest in the LORD. We all need to rest in Him. It gets us ready for what’s to come and draws us in closer to the King.  Love to you all!
