London is here and so is the crisp Christmas air. So refreshing. We have been following summer ever since I left the states in July. My time has consisted of replacing flip flops with white Charlie Angel boots ($6), drinking 6 glasses of tea a day, and speaking a lot of English.
I am excited to tell you that our team of 32 is working with local churches reaching out to ethnic minorities. We are currently in orientation. A ten day conference starts on Saturday. I will be helping as a motivational leader for one of the teams. One of the requirements is to make sure the whole team is on time. If you know me, I am amazing at being on time:)
God is stretching me. He is showing me new dimensions in leadership. Challenging? Well yes, but this is right where God has me and our team. He wants us to sit in the melting pot of Europe and learn how to reach the world right in our own neighborhood.
We have been in “3rd world” countries for over 5 months. He has now thrown us back into a Western culture. How will we respond? What does God ask of us among familiar ways? How can we be Kingdom builders with fire and passion among the sleepers?
God is asking me to go and live for Him, ALIVE. And that means attending the funeral to my independence. (more to come)
