God Loves Me.
Selanda Loves Me.
Gladys Loves Me.
One of them loved me the way I like and was able to realize instantly.
The best way to show you love me is to spend one on one time with me.
Selanda did just that.
God and Gladys loved me in different ways.
Does that mean they don’t love me?
Do they love me any less?
No.
I am learning to receive love.
I am learning to receive love in ways I wouldn’t necessarily prefer.
Example: I feel loved when someone dances with me or prays with me.
Example: People can love me by correcting me and bringing up things I need to change.
Both are ways of loving me, but I recognize one sooner and like it better. The other one is what I need.
Love comes in many ways. Do we recognize and receive love from others?
I like receiving letters from others and enjoy quality time.
That is how I feel loved.
At times, I think others are exactly like me.
So I try to love them the way I like to be loved.
Do I even know how they feel the most loved?
Do I know what they need, not what I think they need.
Do I truly love them?
Am I looking carefully to see what they need?
Or am I just taking the easy way out and loving them the way I know-
The way that is most convenient for me??
Am I taking time to really love?
Example: “The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.” Proverbs 21:3
Example: In this situation, I don’t feel like telling the truth. So afterwards, I go to church or do a good deed to make up for it or to make myself feel better.
I have been learning to figure out how people feel love and ask God how they need to be loved. It takes more work. But that is what REAL LOVE IS. Jesus probably wouldn’t have chosen to love us by being mocked and humiliated, beaten beyond recognition, stripped and nailed to a cross to suffocate to death. But He chose real love and didn’t cope out. So I challenge you all to love people with REAL LOVE.
I have been learning to receive love. You can’t always be the one loving. Sometimes, you have to let other people love you, and let them love you how they choose. I challenge you all to stop and Let someone love you. Let someone wash the dishes for you. Let someone do the kids ministry this week. Let someone pray for you. You are worthy of Love. God already showed you that by dying for you. Let others show you.
