Expectations of My Mission Trip

 

 

   This is not just another mission trip or spiritual high. This is embracing God’s calling and making it a reality in my everyday life. I expect this to be just the start of a life of complete adventure with God. Loving God so much that anything can happen. I expect God to love on me so much that  that love overflows onto others. I expect spiritual and physical healing all around. I expect God’s grace and love to grab me out of my world in such a way that I start seeing people and things through His eyes. I expect to be so out of my comfort zone that I am completely desperate for God. I want to develop such an dependence on God and independence in the world. I expect adventure, pain, joy, thirst, anger, love, heartbreak, healing, physical challenge, freedom,  kindness, struggle, and growth. I expect needs to be met and God’s kingdom to be proclaimed. I want God to be glorified and to serve Him with all I’ve got, so much that when I come home, I have developed a consistent lifestyle of total devotion to God.

” The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners…” -Isaiah 61:1.
