I love Guatemala!!!!!
We spent a week of training in Panajachal, Guatemala. A beautiful city by a lake (see the volcano above). There was a lot of poverty and hurt but a lot of great ministries and people who were open to prayer. We were able to help some people spiritually, physically, and financially. It was such a blessing to be hang out with the kids and older people. It was a great week of training. We had to budget, get to know our team and do most things on our own. Our squad explored a lot and had great times to pray, sing, and just cry out to the God. It was great to have sessions and the more experienced missionaries, world racers, and others pouring into our lives and giving us advice. I was able to spend some time with just me and Jesus. It is crucial to have alone time and go to God for strenth, wisdom, and love. Our team starts off every morning with prayer and ends every night with “milk and cookies” (a time of encouragement, constructive criticism, and thoughts about the day).
We will be spending the next three weeks serving with Nancy Sheldon’s ministry in Camotan, Guatemala. Team Fuego and Azariah will be serving by: building a medical clinic, deforestation, helping with kids sponsorships, working in a medical clinic, street evangelism, church services, and bringing food to different mountain towns. Team Neon and Agape 8 are going to the Caribbean side to work with a ministry in Puerto Barrios while Team Abandon is working in Hua Hua. I will try to update you all as much as possible. Just pray for those areas. There is a lot of need here in Guatemala. God is the sovereign King of the Universe and He is taking care of it. We are just His instruments. Just pray as we do kids ministry in mountain villages and continue to plant coffee beans and do street evangelism!!

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him!’ The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.” Lamentations 3:22-26
