I look at these last 3 ½ weeks in Ireland and I have learned so much from this place. Each person I met taught me something special that I will take with me. I am blessed. Here are a few…
When asked how she felt about her ex-husband who had beaten her and tried to kill, Breda (my Irish grandmother) replied, “I left him in God’s hands.”
“There’s no sense in flirting with all the men. You have no business in doing that if you have a man of your own.” -Mary (the spunky traveller)-

“God’s will is what is going to happen, I just pray my heart can handle it. You can’t fight God’s will.” -Amara (my beautiful Nigerian sister)
T: What happened to your hand Debbie?
D: My sign cut me when it broke.
T: How did your sign break?
D: I hit someone over the head with it because they snuck up on me to take a picture.
I hate when people do that.

Sometimes you don’t know all the details, but you just have to jump in faith.” -Sergio (mi amigo de Espana)
“Just because it is in your life, doesn’t mean it is what God wants. When Jonah ran from God to the harbor, there was a boat leaving for Tarshish…that doesn’t mean he should have taken it” -speaker at the Dublin college group
There is still some bread…and there are some travelers who probably don’t have food.- Kathy (our beautiful and serving Irish mother)
Laugh a lot. Eat a lot. Pray a lot. Read God’s word a lot. Keep laughing and learn new instruments. Enjoy people’s company. -Lorna (best evening in Ireland)
“Enough preaching, God would be pleased if you took me out dinner and down to the pub.” -drunk Irish man
Love people so much that you don’t have to say a word about God. Love well.-Aman (saved in jail, country music singer, stroke survivor)
“I never believed I had value until now. I guess I just needed to hear it out loud.”-Lily (teenager on the streets of Klandalkin)
Jesus died for our sins once and for all. We are forgiven forever. Accept that gift from Christ and help others receive that same freedom. -Jim (my Irish daddy and evangelist)
Be a good sister and help me get some milk for my baby and a cigarette for my sol. -Maria (my Bosnian sister who I knew before from a dream)
“I will destroy anyone who tries to mess with my daughter. If I don’t have a gun, I’ll find a hatchet. If no hatchet, I’ll find a baseball bat. I love my daughter so much I could never let anything happen to her. She is my reason for living.” -Drunk Irish Man
“It’s 30 minutes until we have to be there, let’s go for a swim in the sea.”-Kathy (my spontaneous Irish mom)
“Tiny baby midgets can’t reach the berries”-Kyla (the song narrator of my past week)
I’ve been running from God but now I am coming back- Katie (my freshman friend)
OVERALL, I HAVE LEARNED ALOT!!!!
Life is about balance.
Sometimes, you need to run away and spend a day in a hammock.
Cleaning the house and feeding 15people is hard.
I have the power to help my friends grow, or leave them the same.
Trees have sap on them.
Bread + Ice cream + endless pastries – exercise = belly
I love Irish accents.
Spending time with travelers and drinking tea with milk is lovely.
Every moment can be used to help people.
Walking is cheaper but not faster or easier.
I am so blessed.
Team SOL wrestling is a must.
Communication is not what you say, it’s what they hear.
My family is amazing.
Nothing lasts but God.
I need God, I can’t do life without Him.
Life is simple: Do what God does.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself, He does only what He sees the father doing. Whatever the father does, the son also does.” -John 5:19
