I just wanted to take a minute to recognize some of the things that I have been blessed with since my road to the World Race first began about two months ago.

  1. God is doing some crazy things to provide for me. He has used some of the most unexpected people in the most unique ways. From donations and prayer to helping me with gear and coming up with creative ways to fundraise, everyone is constantly surprising me! I am mostly thankful for the relationships in my life that have been rekindled because of my upcoming journey! Friendships that had faded through the years are suddenly coming back better and stronger than ever.
  2. Going off of my first point, I just want to add that I could not ask for a more supportive and loving group of friends and family. They are always encouraging me to do and be better.
  3. My mom’s family had their first family reunion in 12 years this past weekend! I was incredibly blessed that God had this planned for the summer before I leave for the year. It was such a great time to relax and catch up with everyone. My family is full of beautiful souls, and I am so grateful for each and every one of them.
  4. My squad is incredible! They are the most loving and uplifting group of people I have ever met in my life (even though we haven’t technically met yet). We have all already become so close! I can’t wait to spend the next year with them and see how the Lord uses everyone.

Fundraising update: I’m not going to lie, it’s been really difficult reaching out to people and asking for help, but I REACHED MY FIRST DEADLINE! This was the one that I was most worried about because I had such a short amount of time to gather $3500, but God calmed my anxious heart and reassured me that HE WILL PROVIDE! He even took me above the deadline by almost $1500. Thank you friends and family for listening and responding to His call! I still have a long way to go with fundraising, so if you are able to help support me, I would greatly appreciate it. ANY amount would mean the world to me!
