Thank you for visiting my blog and getting to know me!
Well lets see… First things first, my name is Tara.
I’m 21 and just graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington this May. (Yeah I’m pretty nerdy
but that’s all over so please excuse my poor grammar). While in college, I decided to join a sorority to get involved on campus. Little did I know this experience would help shape me into the person I am today. I never expected myself to take up leadership positions, much less the responsibility of president! There were a lot of amazing times that I will never forget, but there were also a lot of hardships along the way. In the end, this experience made me realize my passion for people and loving them unconditionally.
I recently decided to hand over my entire life to the Lord and have never been happier! Until this year, I pretty much only went to Church on holidays. I would pray every night, but it seemed to be more of a ritual for me. I didn’t feel connected. I had seen the work of God in my life many times but never put in the work to truly KNOW Him. Eventually, I broke. Because we all do. This was when I realized that I needed my Savior. In every way and every aspect of my life. I finally recognized the work that Jesus could do in and through my life. A friend of mine told me about The World Race last September, and I thought it was incredible but didn’t really think any more of it. When I came across some information on it again a few months ago, I felt the call and you better believe I listened! Now because of God, I am sharing my love with the WORLD! I have always had a passion for traveling but never thought I would be called to missions! I am so excited about this incredible opportunity to spread the word of God and give hope to so many people in need. I can’t wait to be humbled by the Lord and His work through our squad!
So much love,
Tara
