This is reality now and the life that I desire. I get to wake up to this new life of living out my faith in LOVE in a new environment. I am here in Pelenque, Mexico breathing in the freshness of the beauty that surrounds me. I have so much to take in and so much to learn; language, customs and common struggles of the local people.
I so deeply desire to go out and meet people’s needs in love by praying for and healing the sick, and administering God’s grace and reconciliation. But, I know I need to listen and intercede and ask God what his will is for us here. So, that is what I have been doing the past few days, asking God to speak and reveal his heart for the people here. I am asking God to break my heart for the things that break His.
As I stood on the rooftop of Shekineh Bible School, I looked out over the land before me with my hands held high and cried out for this city. Tears of love poured out and I got a small glimpse of God’s passionate and jealous love for His children here. I will continue to pray for God’s heart and will go out to find his sheep in FAITH by expressing the LOVE God pours into me.
