We are here!! “Here” being Kuala Lipis, Malaysia and “we” being my World Race team!  My squad left Chicago last Saturday afternoon and had a 15hr flight to Hong Kong, after which we spent a 5hr layover in the airport experiencing as much of “the city” as we could without leaving the terminal.  Then we had a 4hr flight from there into Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (the capital city), arriving there on Monday morning at 5:10am local time.  Since we are 13hrs ahead of my time zone back home that would have been 4:10pm Sunday evening in Conway! Crazy huh?

So once our squad got into KL, the different teams started heading out to their separate ministry locations in the country.  My team had a 15hr wait until a train left KL at 8:30pm heading to Gua Musang which is on the opposite side of the country.  So we got the chance to tour the city before experiencing another long trip in the form of an 11hr train ride to GM.  We traveled there with another team from our squad and got in about 7am on Tuesday morning (Malaysian time).  Although both of our teams are working with the same ministry contact he had different plans for my team… and after spending only one day there, my team and I were on another train Wednesday morning heading to Kuala Lipis.  Once we got here, we were finally located where we are going to do ministry this month!

We left Saturday, arrived Wednesday…. It was a long travel day… haha.

But we are super excited to be here!  I will update again soon to give you all more details about what we will be doing here, but for those that were wondering if I had made it to the other side of the world, I have. 😉  We’ve been in Kuala Lipis for 2 ½ days now and are excited about the weekend English program that we will be teaching this weekend! I will let you know more about that in the next couple of days.

I love you all, and am so blessed to be on this journey with your financial and prayerful support behind me!

One Day Closer,
