Less than five days is all the time we have remaining in Ghana. Another month & another country is nearly over.
It’s amazing to see what the Lord does in a span of just thirty days….what He does to my team, my heart, & the country we are serving in.
A huge blessing from this month is how close we are to the ocean. Just a 15 minute walk from where we stay puts you on the shore watching the waves crash in. I think I could sit there for hours without getting tired. As I sit there my eyes look at the sand.
A single particle of sand is so tiny.
Just take the time to imagine how many particles of sand the Earth contains. It’s a number our minds cannot comprehend. I think about how huge the number must be, & it fascinates me. Sitting on the beach one evening Psalm 139:17-18 came to mind
“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast in the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.”
Did you catch that?
Go back & read it again.
The number of precious thoughts God has toward us would outnumber the sand!
I read this & smile….it makes me shake my head in disbelief. I just said I can’t comprehend the number of particles of sand…& now the Lord is saying His thoughts toward me are even greater than that number?!
So what does this mean? It means I serve a God who never runs out. His love, His mercy, His compassion, His grace, His faithfulness, His goodness….in fact His very being never runs out.
God is so cool!
I’m honored to be able to serve such a faithful, powerful, compassionate God.
This month I’ve seen time & time again how faithful my Father is to me I see the way He cares for me in the smallest of details, & I’m learning to thank Him for it.
I’ve learned to thank Him when the water is on so we can fill our buckets in preparation for the next time it may be off. I’ve learned to thank Him when the power works & thank Him for my working headlight when it doesn’t. (Thank you Uncle Keith for the best headlight ever!) I’ve learned to thank Him for the delicious pineapple we buy on the street & clean water to put in my bottle.
I’m encouraged to take this mindset as we go to Nepal. Month three is our all squad month so we will all be living together! Thank you all again for your prayers & support God has given me. I’m reminded each day what a unique opportunity the Lord has blessed me with by allowing me to go on the World Race!
