I remember sitting at ATL airport about to fly back home and my heart was just overflowing! I seriously wanted to hug the world and every human being on it! My heart was just so full I hadn’t really ever experienced anything like it. I sent texts out to my friends telling them how awesome this week was and how awesome god is and how I met some of the most amazing people ever!

And that really kind of sums it up. It has been a life changing week and I’m still processing a lot of what happened.

Here are some things I learned at Training Camp.

1. Don’t pack clothes for one full week. You’ll only need half of it.

2. It rains a lot in Georgia.

3. Your daypack becomes your best friend because you will literally carry it around everywhere.

4. It will also become your closet as you never know where you’ll sleep next and when you will have access to your big pack again.

5. Yes, you will have the weirdest sleeping scenarios.

6. And at the end of the week you will probably be impressed by your sleeping ability.

7. Bring snacks. Yes!

8. I was convinced that whatever happens I will not change in a porter pottie

9. Guess where I ended up changing?

10. You will get to know some amazing people and you will probably bond with them pretty fast.

11. There will be more than just one night when you sleep shoulder to shoulder next to your squad mates and you’ll just love it!

12. Bring babywipes.

13. Fries, egg, banana and orange is probably the weirdest breakfast I ate in my entire life.

14. I also ate fish for the first time in I don’t know how many years and it was awful.

15. World Race swag is awesome. It really is!

16. You will dance.

17. I slept in a hammock for the first time in my life (embarrassing I know) and it was awesome!

18. Chances are high that you’ll walk around wearing borrowed clothes from your squad mates and at some point it doesn’t even bother you anymore.

19. Trust me, you’ll know how to pack your pack and put it on by the end of the week!

20. We took ice cold showers out of a bucket. And sometimes we did it in the middle of the night.
