So…one of the things that happens at training camp, is that you find out who your teammates are going to be! These are the people that you get to live with for 11 months…these are the people that become your family….these are the people that you get to pray with….these are the people that you get to pray with, and discover new things with (like eating interesting foods, or jumping off mountains)…these are the people that you get to do God’s work with…side by side…keeping each other accountable…and witness each other’s walk and growth with Christ!…these are the people you will never forget!
I am so excited that God has blessed me with five amazing people who have already captured my heart! God really does answer prayers….I prayed that God would give me a team that would would be crazy, and fun, and passionate, and ready for adventure, and seem fearless! He did just that! Here is my team!
Braedon, Brandon, John(he’s actually part of another team, but this is his car that we pimped for him), Lindsay, Katie, Cindy, and Me!
Braedon is incredible! He is so talented with the guitar and leading worship. His passion for Christ is amazing, as well! His desire to become more like Jesus is makes me strive even more to be like Christ! I don’t think he realizes how stinking great he is. I love this guy! I cannot wait to see the gifts that God has blessed him with be used during this next year and afterwards!
Brandon…what can I say about Brandon, other than the fact that he is an amazing guy! He is such a natural leader…even if he doesn’t want to be! People are drawn to him…I say it’s because he alive for Christ! People want to know what it is that makes him so alive! I don’t think he realizes the impact he can have for the Kingdom of God…such an amazing impact….he has the ability to really bring whole nations to Christ! I’m so glad that I get to be next to him this next year and watch God use him to bring those nations to Him.
Lindsay is our fearless leader of the team! God has created such a beautiful woman for His kingdom! This woman is completely on fire for the Lord! I have complete faith in the things that she will lead us in, and trust her wholeheartedly! Watching this woman work this next year for the Lord is such a blessing….I’m so happy that she is my leader!
Katie….oh my dear Katie! From the first moment I met her, I knew I wanted to be friends….no, sisters….with her. She is outrageous!…and I mean that in a good way! She is so kind and has such a heart for God’s plan! She is the type of lady that will make changes in the nations….people will crowd her to know what she knows! She is fierce! I cannot wait to go to the nations and into those places that many fear with her and watch her enter those places with such authority….the authority of Jesus!
Cindy is a sister I am so glad to have by my side! She may seem quiet, but I can see the light of Christ shining from her! I am ready to watch her “quietly” love the people of the nations, and speak truth into their lives. I’m honored to serve next to her!
And then there is me! I pray that I learn to have a desire for Christ like Braedon, an impact on people like Brandon, be fearless like Lindsay, have a heart like Katie’s, and love like Cindy!
This is my team! We are Team Karis…it is Greek for Grace! We are entering the nations with God’s grace! Please pray for us!
