My team, along with the rest of team b, was dropped off in Reynosa January 4th and told to ¨Go¨. so we all strapped on our packs and tried to figure out what to do next. Do we try and hire a car or take a bus, or is flying an option.  so we figured that the best place to start was the bus station.  So we got directions from a local policeman and off we were.  7 blocks later we were at the bus station.  and to our suprise (well not really) the other B teams met us there.  After much discussion we decided the best way to go would be by bus.  so we got tickets for the 9:45 pm bus to Villahermosa via Vera Cruz.  We then would have to get tickets in Villahermosa to get to Palenque.  About 32 hours later we finally arrived in Palenque at 7am on Friday.

To finish the race part of our route we had to go to the Mayan Ruins in Palenque and climb the highest temple.  So right away we put our luggage in a hotel that some other teams had rented, then we got two taxis for our team of 7 and off we went to the ruins.  We got there right before it opened and were behind all of the other teams.  We took off as soon as we got out tickets and headed to the temple. I think we ended up behind everyone but not by much.  It was absolutely amazing as we climbed the steps to the top as a team.  It was a real unifying moment that we could do this together.   After we got to the top we took pictures, spent some time in prayer as a team, and just took some time to take it all in and breathe. We had been on the go for two days and it was good to be able to relax and look at what was surrounding us.  It was neat to be able to see a part of history but at the same time I was sad because this was a place that was used for human sacrifice and was not of God.  But the surrounding were so beautiful and green.   After taking everything in we were able to explore a little bit and look at the other ruins in the park and just spend some time relaxing.
I´ll post pictures of the ruins soon.

We are now staying at a Bible Institute in Palenque and will be here at least throughout the rest of this week.  We will be doing some training and ministry in the afternoons.  So please pray that myself and my team will be open to what the Lord is teaching us this week and open to where he leads us to minister.
