Hmmm, ok let’s see where to start….well my name is Tana and I just turned 25. I was born in Texas but grew up in two different towns in Colorado, where it was amazing having the mountains and the river as my playgrounds. After graduating from high school I went to a small Christian college in Nebraska for a year then transferred to East Texas Baptist University where I got my degree in Biology and Athletic Training. While I was in college my family moved to South Carolina so after graduation I followed them there. Not quite a year later my parents, my sister, and I moved to Charlotte, NC where I currently reside.

I grew up in a Christian household with two loving parents and two brothers (one older and one younger) and a younger sister. I always knew the Lord and was a “good girl” but did not take a step out on faith until I was baptized when I was 15. During college I became more interested in foreign missions and the summer of 2003 I was able to go to Australia for 2 months to work with a church. After this experience I felt the Lord calling me into foreign missions, but did not know where or in what capacity. After moving to Charlotte I became a member of a mission minded church where I have been able to be a part of a missions vision 2010 team as well as a member of the missions committee. I have had the opportunity to go to mexico three times, one of which I was a chaperone for a youth trip, as well as to Hawaii for a week to help support a church there. These trips have only intensified the call that I feel from the Lord.

Some other things about me: I love the outdoors, hiking, skiing/snowboarding (although I haven’t been in a few years),thunderstorms, I love to travel, read and play sports especially soccer, volleyball, and softball.

I am really looking forward to the world race and am excited to see where the Lord is going to lead us all.
