The day of Machu Picchu had finally arrived.  We all met downstairs at 6am to have breakfast and catch the bus.  An hour and a half later we arrived at the train station.  Two hours later we arrived in the town down the mountain from Machu Picchu.  Twenty minutes and numerous curves later we finally arrived in Machu Picchu.  Ok go! you have 3 1/2 hours to explore and meet back at 3 pm to catch the bus back down the mountain.

What to do! What to do!  lets see….take a tour or climb Waynapicchu.  I had not intended to climb Waynupicchu because I knew that I would not be able to keep up with the pace that I knew would be set.  But I really wanted to go.  I love to challenge myself physically. so why not climb.  I might be in the back and might be by myself but lets do it.

Well I ended up not being by myself. Stephanie stayed with me and it was a really good getting to spend time with one of my teamates.  It was a struggle but it was much easier than I thought it would be.  I think it helped living in Musho (in the mountains) for a month.

We get to the top and meet up with everyone who practically run up the mountain. Took a breather, enjoyed the view, took some pictures.

Let me share some with you.
