Sunday morning we were woken up at 5 am to a honking horn, banging pots, and Samuel yelling Amigos, Amigos, Nessa, Yeti, Agapatos…The race was on! Our team spent some alone time with God before we started our tasks. One of our tasks was to jump in the river and have one team member take a picture. Then we finished packing stuffed out tents in the bags and headed out in a van with team Yeti. After about 6 hours we arrived at the Mexico- Guatemala border, got our passports stamped, and found another van to take us to Antigua. We arrived in Antigua at 7:30 pm, thinking the race was over, and to our suprise…its still going on, but we can not complete our last task until 7 am the next morning. Monday morning we got up and headed to Cerra de la Cruz to complete our task and spend some time in prayer over the city of Antigua. It was absolutely beautiful and we were able to spend some needed time as a team in prayer and individually as well.
We are now still in Antigua and will be here until this weekend when we will head to Nicaragua for our next month.
