So I havent shared on my blog my testimony on how God lead me into a passion for missions.
Here it is…..
Before I met Christ, I guess I considered myself a Christian. I honestly didn’t know much about God or having a relationship with Him. I associated myself with God because it was the “right” thing to do. Not really understanding what I was connected to caused me to struggle my entire life with disbelief in God. That disbelief left me feeling like God couldn’t love me, because I didn’t fully believe in him.
In January of 2011, God randomly became the #1 topic in my college dorm. Some friends and I gathered together and began to talk about him. I vividly remember breaking down crying that night. A rush of emotions hit me like a brick wall and suddenly I felt bad about not completely believing in who God was. One friend sitting near me began to share with me how much God loved me and cared about me. In one special moment, I knew that God was real and that He loved me no matter what. I gave my life to Christ that night.
A year and a half later, God began to move on my heart to go on a mission trip to China. At first I was afraid but I gathered up enough faith to go. I never imagined that God would amaze me as much as he did there! He allowed me to share my testimony to hopeless people, who were just as lost as I once was. Majority of the people that I met in China did not have a religion and didn’t care to have one. God allowed me to use my testimony of my disbelief in him, to connect with those who didn’t believe in him either. It was in those moments of me sharing my testimony that I saw hope in their and eyes. It moved my heart when they asked questions and wanted to know more about God. This is why I am going on the World Race. This is why I love missions! I get filled with excitement when I think about those who don’t know God. It’s humbling that God chose to use me and other racers to spread the Gospel to those who have never heard it.
Not only is He using me to spread the Gospel but He is desiring to use you too! You may be thinking, “How is he using me? I’m not called to missions. I’m not the one going to the World Race.” You are called to spread the news with me.When you give to the world race, you are going on the World Race as well. Think about it for a moment. If everyone decided not give to those who are called to missions, then the amount of people who spread the Gospel decreases dramatically. You are just as much apart of the World Race as I am. I ask that you pray to see what God would lead you to give, because no matter what the contribution is, what you give matters. Whether you want to believe it or not you are a missionary too! Every dollar gets a person closer to hearing the word that we are blessed to hear daily. Join me in giving the gift of Christ.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19, 20
