My prayer is that this letter finds you well! When I first experienced the love of God, I received a passion to share the love of God as well. I soon hit the streets with my local church to tell people about Jesus, but inside I knew that I wanted to do more. That next year I began to attend a ministry at my university and learned how I could spend my Christmas in China. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit I left the country with complete strangers for two in a half weeks. We were able to tell the true meaning of Christmas to more than a hundred college students. In those moments when I was able to share the love of Christ I felt at home, I knew this is what I wanted to dedicate my life to. I went back home from that mission trip with a deep desire that the nations would come into the knowledge of God.As I began to plan for life after graduation I found myself stuck between going to medical school and doing missions. My initial desire was to go to medical school first, but as time went by I could feel the pushing of the Lord to do missions. So I talked with one of my mentors who was heavily into missions and she told me stories of friends she knew who had been to the World Race. I decided to research “The World Race” to see what it was all about. Once I was introduced to the mission of not only the organization itself but the other missionaries involved, I knew God wanted me to be apart of The World Race once I graduated.
The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I will face many challenges throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded on , I need to raise $16,252. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me at $100 monthly or some other amount?
