Throughout
the last 196 days of this life-changing journey called The World
Race, the Lord has gently whispered one question to me continuously.

Are
you willing Tamica?”

Are
you willing…
to
trust in and rely solely on Me to supply all you need when you need
it?”

Are
you willing…

to be last, so others can be first?”

Are
you willing…

to walk through seasons of loneliness, abandonment, unpopularity,
exhaustion, confusion, doubt, mistakes, restlessness, weakness, tears,
and insecurity in order to be obedient to my will for those who have
been placed under your authority, as well as for yourself?”

Are
you willing…

to be a living sacrifice every second of every day for My glory?”

God
never once asked me if I was
able;
He only asked if I was
willing.

If
you study the most awe-inspiring faith stories throughout the bible,
you’ll notice a common thread the mighty men and women of God shared.
Every person chosen by God to fulfill His purposes was horribly
inadequate for the job.

Abraham
was old.
Jacob
was insecure.
Leah
was unattractive.
Joseph
was abused.
Moses
stuttered.
Gideon
was poor.
Samson
was codependent.
Rahab
was immoral.
David
had an affair and all kinds of family problems.
Elijah
was suicidal.
Jeremiah
was depressed.
Jonah
was reluctant.
Naomi
was a widow.
John
the Baptist
was
eccentric to say the least.
Peter
was impulsive and hot-tempered.
Martha
worried a lot.
The
Samaritan woman

had several failed marriages.
Zacchaeus
was unpopular.
Thomas
had doubts.
Paul
had poor health.
Timothy
was timid.

Obviously
skill, competency and holiness were not high on God’s criteria.
However, they
ALL
possessed the willingness to walk in obedience, even unto death. It
is because of their willingness and obedience that we know of them
and their miraculous, powerful stories. It is because of their
willingness and obedience that their lives were marked with GREATNESS
for the Kingdom. It is because of their willingness, courage and
passion that we know and have hope in our Risen Lord.

“Are you willing Tamica?”
YES,
Lord! Whatever it takes! Here am I! Ready… WILLING… Waiting…
Send me!”

It
is because of this answer that I have been entrusted to lead a squad.
It is because of this answer that my life will be marked with
greatness. It is because of this answer that others will come to know
the power, love, redemption, forgiveness and salvation of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.

So
are you willing?

If
there’s a hint of hesitancy in your stride when the Lord calls your
name, read the below scriptures and take courage! God desires to use
you for His glory. Just as you are! He will equip, empower and
comfort you along the way. All you have to do is say, “Yes, Lord!
Here am I. Send me!” You were created and chosen for this.

Such confidence as this is ours
through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to
claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.” 2
Corinthians 3:4-5

The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has
sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight
for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the
Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:12

I am not
ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16

“But he said
to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly
about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is
why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in
hardships, in persecution, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then
I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

I can do
all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

“When they
saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were
unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note
that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

For God
did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love
and of self-discipline.” 2 Tim 1:7

“For we do not
have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are –
yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us
in our time of need.” Hebrew 4:15-16

“Trust
in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

“In
him we were also chosen,
having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out
everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” Ephesians
1:11
