I’ve heard stories of persecution my whole life. In fact, I’m almost always drawn to them. I’ve never really had the opportunity to walk with someone being threatened for the sake of our saviour, until this month. I wish I could share more with you about what has been going on here in in the Middle East, but privacy!

Our first evening here, our hosts shared with us that they are going through something hard. They are at risk of losing it all for the sake of living for our king!

I have never before spoken with someone physically shaken by the imminent danger creeping around every corner yet spiritually strong and firm on the Lord with a spirit full of life. Our hosts are beautiful and strong. They choose God’s kingdom over government. As they have told us, “This is no surprise. Jesus told us this would happen. Persecution will come.”

As a team, all we can do is pray. We have supported our lovely hosts through prayer, encouragement, and loving the church here as best as we can. And we have learned OH SO MUCH.

Thank you to all of you who have donated toward my team’s fundraising campaign to buy necessities for the Syrian refugees. Seriously, they are the most precious people. God bless you!

Blessings,
