Y squad arrived in Ethiopia about two weeks ago.

Our first four days, we spent time together as women at a very quaint and homely guesthouse run by a partner of Adventures in Missions. Every woman on the squad was given the freedom and opportunity to partake and give of their time, gifts, and talents into making these four days fruitful.

We dove into the topics of voice, confidence, and unity. I proudly sat and received unique perspectives and dove into scripture that supported each topic.

The first day, I shared my testimony in the raw with them, with no reservations. I felt it was a powerful time and a few of the girls really related to my life in different ways.

We pressed into spaces of vulnerability, which can be uncomfortable, but brought more freedom.

After our four days of being together, the ladies separated and went to two different housing locations.

The Lord really pressed upon my heart to spend time with Team Opal this month. When we arrived to our new home, there were seven chairs around the dining room table which perfectly seats all seven of us!

Also, I happened to get my own room and bathroom this month. That never happens. The Lord is calling me into greater dependence and intimacy this month and He’s blessed me with the space to do that with Him! Praise.

All in all, the squad is doing well. We are growing more acquainted with the culture and being pushed into greater levels of uncomfortability. It’s been so good.

We are over half way through our time here in Ethiopia. I’m actually a little sad to think about leaving soon. We are really enjoying all the time spent with the people, the delicious food, the outdoor markets, and the simple joys of being on an all girls team!

I am still fundraising for my time on the field investing and discipling this group of young men and women.

If you would like to partner with me financially, you can hit donate on the support tab on the top of this page. Thank you!
